Which cameras
work with jupyter?

Most IP cameras, doorbells and recorders that provide an RTSP stream work with jupyter, whatever the brand on it. That covers most wired, PoE and Wi-Fi cameras sold in the last decade, because RTSP is the protocol the industry settled on. So the question is usually whether your camera offers a stream, not whether its brand is on a list.

Tested brands

These work.

The brands below are ones we have connected and tested ourselves. Open any of them for the models covered and how to add the camera.

The exceptions

These do not.

Three brands keep their video inside their own cloud and publish no local stream, so there is nothing for the Hub to read. It is worth knowing why before you buy any of them.

The rule

The protocol matters more than the badge.

jupyter does not keep an approved-models list, because the thing that matters is the protocol rather than the badge. If a camera hands out a standard RTSP stream, the Hub can almost always read it, and the camera check tells you before you buy. Most cameras that also answer ONVIF can be found on the network automatically, and the rest can be added by pasting in the stream address. One Hub takes up to eight cameras, and they do not have to match.

Recordings stay on the Hub inside your home rather than in a data centre, and the six AI senses run there too, so there is no monthly fee for storage or for the AI.
